It was a large herbivorous sauropod dinosaur, with a estimated length of up to 25 meters and a weight of up to 20 tons. The Morrison Formation, located in Colorado, is known for its rich dinosaur fossil deposits, and Camarasaurus is one of the most commonly found dinosaurs in this formation. making it one of the largest dinosaurs known to have lived in the Morrison Formation.
